There are many different ways for communication but SMS is totally free and the fastest mode of communication. SMS is the short form of short messaging service. You can send SMS from one mobile to another and just in the fraction of seconds the SMS will be received. You can also send SMS from internet to the mobile. There are some websites which send SMS free of cost. SMS service is also available on some landlines now. SMS character space is normally 160 characters which also includes spaces. SMS was created as part of the GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) Phase 1 standard.

The first SMS was sent in 1992 from a computer to Vodafone GSM network in UK. SMS is same as that of emailing. You can store emails in your inbox and can send it to somebody else later on or can read it later on. The same is the case with SMS. You can store SMS in a mobile and can read it later and can also forward it to somebody else. SMS marketing is a powerful tool using which you can make people aware about your business.

The popularity of SMS is increasing day by day. The main reason behind this is that the SMS service is becoming free. It is helping the people in making their business famous and hence due to the popularity of the business the sales is increasing and hence the revenue. It is making the life of many people easier so it is an important part of life. It is a powerful strategy to make people aware of your business and keeping the existing customers satisfied with your services.

If you want the list of the contacts of the people or do not have time to send SMS to thousands of people then you can seek the help of the companies which work in the field of SMS marketing. These companies take a little price and send your SMS to large number of people. They have the database of all the phone numbers. Some companies keep a limit on the characters that are to be included in one SMS. But there are many other companies who do not keep a limit on characters. But they charge a little more per SMS. You can also search the sites on internet which send free SMS and can send your SMS from there. This will be totally free but you have to do a lot of work. The main advantage of sending SMS is that they are received instantaneously and you can see results in just one day.

If you are contacting a company for sending the SMS then you can get the list of phone numbers from them. But if you are doing this task at your own then you have to use your own contacts. But it is better if you take the help of the company as they can give you large number of contacts.

You can also send emails using these companies. They can use your list to send the messages and can also import your list of email addresses. You can also opt to send SMS so the persons whose email IDs are with you but no phone numbers. These companies will send SMS to the people with email IDs but they do not disclose the phone numbers.

Everyday more than 3 billion mobile devices are used to do SMS just for marketing purposes. This is because SMS is becoming the best and the fastest way for marketing. This marketing tool gives a great exposure to the products and services. For promoting your business you can include discounts and special offers.

Businesses have maximized the usage of cellular phones by introducing sms marketing This helps advertise your business without spending much on billboards or tv and radio commercials. Or you may want to try Mobile Marketing.

For the past quarter of a century or more we have been relying on computers to get us through our day. More so lately, with the advances in technology, computers are becoming devices that we can’t live without. The introduction of the Internet has made us more addicted to our computers than before.

I remember when we would meet friend or co-workers for Happy Hour after work and that to me was social networking. Today, it’s MySpace, Facebook and Internet dating. While I have found many a friends and family members on Facebook, I feel that these “social networking sites” are taking over our daily lives.

With email and instant messaging now at our fingertips, what’s the need to write a letter and “snail” mail it to someone you want to correspond with? The personal touches are gone and home telephones for some are a thing of the past. Today’s society is relying on the Internet and their cell phones to keep them connected.

With the introduction to the IPhone, we can now access the Internet directly unlike before when we had to go through our phone for the “mobile internet” version. Who could have known when the first portable “brick” cell phone was introduced that we would be where we are today. What does the future have waiting for us; I can’t even imagine.

Laptops are getting smaller and more powerful with each passing year. Many of those “children” who were young when laptop computers were first introduced, are some of the wizards in mobile computing design of today. Their remarkable innovations are taking us into wireless world we only dreamed of in the not so distant past.

Children have no fear of the unknown and that makes them great at computers. They are designing newer and better ways to allow us to be productive. Computer geniuses are in abundance for the under eighteen crowd and yours could be one of them. Maybe you have another Bill Gates on your hands.

One downfall I see with computers is that we don’t ever need to leave our homes. We can order pizzas, shop for birthdays and Christmas online, we even send our birthday greeting from the Internet. We don’t develop pictures, we send them via email, check our bank statements and it’s all done with the click of the mouse. But what about getting to know the banker the postman or your photo developer?

I often wonder where this new technological craze is going to take our grandchildren. What kind of a society are we becoming when we never leave our homes for the social interaction we were once so fond of. While we have this ability to do all these things from home, what’s in-store for our children’s children?

Teaching our kids that enjoying time on the computer is good for some things. Use the World Wide Web to explore other worlds within their grasp. They can have a better future if they choose to use the Internet to their advantage and find a world outside their bedroom. Getting involved in helping to make a better world for themselves and their children is a great place to start.
