Addicting iPhone Games Responsible For High Unemployment

August 9th, 2009

In today’s world of electronics, gadgets, and TV, it’s no wonder that unemployment is so high. You may be thinking that this statement is completely false and has no real bearing on unemployment (you’re probably right) but, hear me out.

The iPhone is fast becoming one of the main attraction to people wanting to waste time playing games. There are thousands of games (tower defense, strategy, and more), applications, and useless apps available. It’s no wonder so many find themselves attached to the small screen.

While all of these and more have been responsible for millions of hours of lost time and productivity, a new “game” is set to be the mother of all time killers. Before revealing it’s name, it’s important to understand how these games affect the economy.

It’s so attracting … a cute game, a useful app, but that’s where it all starts. After a user begins to play, little do they see that time itself actually increases in speed during use! That may be hard to swallow but it’s actually true (unverified)…

I’m sure you’re starting to see how this affect the lives of so many innocent users… they start to play the game and miss deadlines, become late for work, stay up later, etc. Now you see why the over 20 million users of the iPhone are losing their jobs?

Furthermore, this problem is escalated for these poor souls when they try to “find work” but instead find themselves neck deep in the middle of an iPhone game completely unaware that time is speeding by and job interviews are being missed.

There is a new iPhone game set to be released that could make this problem even worse. We’re not talking about a little worse, but a global pandemic. Currently in the submission process with Apple to get listed in the App Store the new game “Warp Defense” has only been played by 20-30 users. The majority of which lost their jobs (unconfirmed), grew their hair out (due to loss of time), and are losing weight very quickly (actually a benefit of this satanic game).

Sure the game itself is a sweet “Tower Defense” game, it has an addicting game play, beautiful explosions, great music, and sweet graphics which could be nothing short of satanic. I do recommend you join me in NOT buying this evil application from the app store on the iPhone when Warp Defense is unleashed. Join me! Don’t purchase into the addicting and so called “entertaining” game ever to be played on a mobile device.

The game Warp Defense will hit the Apple app store in the beginning of August and info found in the below resource box.

World Of Warcraft and Increasing Your Character’s Level

August 7th, 2009

One of the newest and highest grossing industries is the videogaming industry. The most prominent companies are those who create the platforms that house the games. However more importantly are the gaming companies who create and sell the games for the different platforms. The biggest platform to date is the PC, and one of the biggest players is the company called Blizzard-activision. The biggest game out currently is made by Blizzard.

The biggest potential for revenue and market is in the form of a game called an MMORPG, or massively multiplayer online role-playing game. These games are massive in of themselves, sometimes housing thousands of players at once online in fierce battles across the globe. The in game territory can be thousands of square miles and the land is teeming with exotic animals and non-generic plantlife. These games have the biggest potential for gameplay value, replay value, market, and revenue.

World of Warcraft is one of the most successful videogames in existence today and in history. Commonly referred to as WoW, this game has over 10 million subscribers monthly, and Blizzard stands to make 150 million dollars in revenue each month! You have to wonder then, why is it that other companies do not produce similar products and reap in the cash? It all grinds down to, well, grinding!

This level grinding is essential to the enjoyment of a person who plays any MMORPG. If you cannot spend hours a day doing this leveling, the game will fail as it relies on people spending a lot of time invested in the game to make up for the fact it has a monthly subscription. Blizzard has taken steps to make this painstaking process as simple and easy a process for anyone to perform for hours on end. Some choose to use guides or hire services to level their characters for them in return for real money.

Starting from square one and leveling by yourself is a rough task, as you feel it will take forever to get to the end levels of the game. However with the newest updates world of warcraft has become a very easy game to level in, from a mental point of view. There is a constant stream of relatively easy to do quests such as killing animals or delivery quests where all you have to do is spend the time travelling to earn gold or exp points.

The two routes you may go when you decide you want some assistance in leveling involve either a guide or a service. While the service is the quickest and most sure way, it has the highest price tag. Guides however come at a relatively low price and while they do demand time, it is about the same amount of time as a service and you get the personal enjoyment of playing through the levels of the game. After all, it only takes a few weeks to get to 80, maybe one week if you are really good. Wow leveling guides were created to simplify the leveling process for the average newbie.

Take my suggestion, get a cheap wow leveling guide and don’t waste your valuable time finding all the quests you need and simply follow the guide directions.
